you better buy now, because when they get ready to remodel, the fabric will be no more. And they don't care how much you complain.
Some of it is ok, some is not.

so far, this one has not turned into an argument. i'm pleased to see all the WalMartians supporting each other without getting harrassed by the "haters".

now if we can follow this example when the shop fans gather, and show them the same consideration we'll have made it to the shade. :-)

i spend my dollars in both, and in lots of places in between, so i'd be tickled pink if we all finally learned to get along.

kumbayah ... and all that jazz.

hey! a person can dream, can't she? :XD:

As someone else has said -

one has to evaluate EACH FABRIC under consideration -

and then decide -

is it suitable for the purpose intended and a good value to the person purchasing it?

I have used Walmart fabrics for over 25 yrs and they are the backbone of my stash. I sell my stuff so I have several fabrics that are favorites that I buy by the bolt from WM. I love the fabrics that they carry but I am picky as I mostly do miniatures so the print has to be tiny. Ilove my WM fabrics. Gotta take advantage of the savings where I can.

I buy from all of the fabric stores in my local area within an hours drive so I can have a wide variety.

I have been told by the lady who is charge of the fabric dept here that they have had so many complaints that they are probably not going to close the fabric dept when they remodel. We can only hope!!

What bearisgray says. I buy (or used to before they closed in my area) from Walmart. I have gotten some very good fabric, but I feel I know what to look for. I also used to buy from Hancocks and Joann's but the one's around here are now as high as the LQS. I will also buy from the LQS if the fabric and price is right. I'm not overly choosey as long as the quality is there. I have to be very careful of what I buy as I'm on a very limited budget, that is about to get even tighter.

Wal-Mart is usually where I go, & Jo-Ann Fabrics. I don't have any problems with the materials I get from there. Fabric stores are very limited where I live.
