    :thumbup: This recipe is in my family since 1961 from a Flemish neighbour and a favourite eversince then:

    1/3 lb butter, 1 cup sugar, 2 eggs.
    Mix the above except egg whites, add 1/2 lb selfraising flour and add well beaten egg whites. Add 5 pealled apples sliced. Dough is a bit stiff but that is natural. Bake in oven at 180* till light brown, use skewer to see if well done. Serve with whipped cream direct from baking dish. Allways nicer when cake is not cold. Enjoy.

    356 Fahrenheit. I imagine it would be baked at 350 here.

    How about the 1/2 pound of flour, what would that equal in cups?
