Thread: Putting a Square On Point

I've made a couple of quilts where I decided after I had the squares made that the squares needed to be on point to add interest to the quilt. This is a quick tutorial on how to put a square on point that I've used. The final pictures of the quilt I used for this tutorial can be found at Repost "Not Playing with a Full Deck" with Pictures!

This is very similar to the Card Trick on Point tutorial I posted here several months ago. Card Trick an Easy Way - AGAIN!!

I also taught it at a workshop in Martinsburg WV; I wonder if you learned yours from someone in that area? Makes it so much easier doesn't it?!!

I used your method to make the card tricks, but I used charm blocks instead of strips. I wanted the card tricks on point, but still sqares for easier assembly with the kites I'd made from leftover fabric from the charms. I loved making the card tricks using your method, they went together so easily!

I forgot to mention that I used this method on an Ohio Star quilt I just finished to add a little "spin" to the quilt. You can see a picture at Patriotic Ohio Star Finished
