Default 3rd.cousin's quilt/blankie

Hello all,
It's been awhile since I posted. Been making, pens, bird feeders, bird houses, etc. My cousins D-I-L had a baby girl back in March and I thought it a good time to make a little blanket for Lily. The front was from a bunch of strips from my sister who said do something with them, the end results being the face of Lily's lil' blankie. I used my Riccar and my 1896 Standard treadle to complete the project. The quilt pattern and thread colors were picked by me with the machine quilting done on a long arm by a family fried. I will be on vacation next week and moving my daughter and granddaughter to Grapevine, Tx. in hope of securing a decent job. Her degree does not offer any opportunity in our area. Hope you enjoy the pictures and I am heading west tomorrow. Chow for now.

Love the looks of that treadle machine. I assume that you made the base for the Riccar? And the blankie is too darn cute! Just right for a baby. Good luck with the move. I hope I never have to move again!

Moving daughter to TX my home state. Great place to live. I was born in Decatur TX and the wife is from Dallas. Very nice baby quilt and wonderful colors. Don't ask how I ended up in Huntsville AL. Retired from the Army here at Redstone Arsenal and my wife did not want to leave the son and grand kids. Wanted to go back to TX but the wife won as always.
