Cool How do you know it's time to scale back on the collecting?

The floor is starting to sag... and it's slab on grade.

I have tried. Even tried Charlee's 12 Step Program. Didn't work. I think I have a sign on my back that says Sewing Machine Addict that attracts needy sewing machines. At least they don't eat or need a litter box.

Sounds like you need to balance the load, by adding weight to unaffected areas.

Or the vet. Much cheaper - though they don't purr in quite the same way.

When every room in the house and the garage is cluttered to the point you can't walk through.

Honestly, it's hard to stop, but the way I see it, is that if I sell a few of the ones I've grown less attached to it frees me up to buy another. That and I avoid any machine in a cabinet. I view a cabinet as a negative now, so the machine must really be something to get me to bring out my wallet. I have a two story house and most of my collection is on the second floor. If the house caves in and you don't hear from me (because the slate pool table is up there too) I lived a good life and died in the proper way:>.

LOL! Are you an enabler or what? I do want to be able to walk through my house without stumbling on a machine!

I agree with Candace completely, they really aren't that big once you toss the cabinets. So....in my experience most of the cabinets are not worth rehab...so...toss them, and make displays for them, then you'll be OK?
