So I've been watching this machine for the last month....
Possibly coveting it.
It's a Winselmann, and I know very little about them. I don't know all of what this machine comes with, I haven't contacted the seller, because I wanted to have money in hand.
Seller wants $100 for it. Says in the ad that the machine belonged to their mother and was used by her for many years until electric sewing machines came along.
Any thoughts?

I find hand crank machines fascinating. I have a treadle and I do love it but I don't think I'd be able to do much sewing with a hand crank. It makes my shoulder ache just thinking about it. Maybe someone who uses one can tell you if it's a good buy or not. If you are just collecting it, it is a neat and original piece.

OK,.. that decided me for sure. I sent off an email. Hopefully I'll hear something soon. We're in the city tonight, so maybe I'll even have information tonight.
I think she'd be a display piece, but that's what I thought about Betty, the 27 treadle when I bought her too.

Hope you get her!! I have two hand cranks and love them. Haven't used them yet, but will one day. i was at a quilt show and a lady was using her handcrank and it didn't look too difficult. She said it was not difficult.
