Default FYI singer 31-15

I have nothing to do with this machine, just a FYI.

afew days ago someone ask about one the price was $350, to me that way out of line. The 31-15 I have was $100. it's old state surplus machine, and was from a hospital. (ohs) In super great condition. I also have a 31-20, those do have bigger around bobbins BUT there also narrower. I doubt they hold any more thread, and parts are double of what a 31-15's price.

I see 31-15 often yes often they are 350 , consew version are also around the 350 range .

The same goes on any commercial machine. no different than the singer 15 selling for $800. just wait you'll find a decent price. Even the two singer 16 - 188's I have were $100 each.

This week alone I have HAD to use my 31 and the 16-188 to sew denim basting onto very thich denim quilts. fact I'll be finishing up the last one in a few minutes..

If you don't know a 16-188 is a walking foot machine.

this one has been listed for 3 days, I just guessing it's still not sold

You sure pick up some bargains! That 31-15 is still very cheap.

With that username, you should be spamming us with pictures of naked machines

I missed out on a free one this morning. It was a 31-??, all original on the cast iron stand with the original Singer motor underneath. It was on the curb in Seattle for probably less than 30 minutes. It takes me 2 hrs to get there. I just hope a scrapper didn't get there first.
I've seen a few free industrials pass by since I started watching but I have learned you have to be fast and lucky to get one.

I think it's a very fair price, because of the table.. just seeing it in a pic of course, but each one I have bought . I had to redo there tables.. no biggie, but it adds to the overall cost..

Mike over the years I've posted a lot of machine photo's. it's a pain on this site for me. I'm on dial up. so figure any photo I post took about an hour to get it ready for posting on this site.

yes rodney , I've seen you post on industrial s before . Thats the deal , you have to be able and ready to jump as soon as..

This is the only reason I have gotten good deals on machines.. plus I live between two major citys. there an hour away north or south..also many machines really don't sell all that quick. In the last two years the price has gone way up, and there are more babyboomers buying ...

what sucks is the price of scrap went down to where it was a good 30 years ago and a machine isn't even worth 5 bucks ,, more like 35 cents
