OK, for those of you who were placing bets as to how soon I'd fall off the wagon, time to collect:

Necchi Lelia 513, found at a thrift store, $6.40. Sorry for the dark pictures; it's actually in good shape. The paint on the hand wheel is flaking (common problem with Necchis of this era) but the toggle switches are great (they're often broken off) and the rest of the paint is OK despite a few dings. No pedal or power cord but that's an easy fix. The inside was really clean -- all I had to do was oil it. The badge fell off as I was wiping down the exterior (petrified glue) and the stitch selection knob is missing.

I'm a sucker for Necchis and seeing one on the shelf next to Casio keyboards and garden tools had me in rescue mode.

LOLOL! I couldn't resist a pink Nechhi either!

    * I really thought I was in remission too and then things got a bit crazy!

Nice find. I have a Lelia 510. Yours will only ss and zz, the missing knob on the front is for doing buttonholes.

I would have capitulated as well, except for the fact that I know I'd have to find another place to sleep -- there's just not enough room in this house, garage and 48 X50' barn (unprotected from humidity, cold and heat).

Nice! and nothing wrong with being selective and grabbing those truly special ones.

I found a Necchi Lelia 615 that is the same color at a thrift store for $25. I love sewing on it because it is so quiet. It has several accessories but no cams and no manual. I am not sure what kind of cams it takes so haven't bothered to look for them. Your machine is beautiful.
