But then found the butterflies and paisley.....

My DH has been making noises about making a quilt - I asked him did he want to look through the material I've got in the stash and he said, "no"... so the fish and others is what he picked out!

And I made a baby 'blanket' for a possible new grand-daughter - I say possible because our son and daughter-in-law are hoping to be getting a daughter from Korea sometime in the near future. I figured I'd better get it done or she'd be here and I'd be going... gee...
I didn't put any batting in, just two layers of flannel.

Be careful, Janeen - having DH talk about making a quilt is a slippery slope (ask me how I know!) My DH was up until 11 last night playing in my quilt layout program, and his alarm goes off at 4:30 a.m.! I now have piles of blue fabrics and cutting table ladies that know he walks out with more yardage than I do :D We went to the quilt shop on Saturday for some Sulky Blendables thread and some mystery quilt instructions - walked out with those and fabric (of course - that always happens!)

Great baby quilt - I love the patterns and colors

Pretty fabrics! And I love the quilt. I've been wanting to use flannel as batting. Is it easy to quilt?

when I made a rag quilt with homespun I used flannel as 'batting' and it worked fine for stippling/meandering, etc

this crib blankie is just flannel on top and flannel panel ( ) on the bottom... it wanted to skip around when I tried meandering so wound up stitching in ditch with a walking foot
