I think Miriam is way past disguising them as nightstands. Our living room has all the "endtables" it will ever need. Those are the first places to get filled in.

I just passed on a free-westinghouse in a cabinet today. Cabinet and also machine had mold on it...I think they just wanted it gone. But, free isn't free if it causes asthma to flare up. I don't need anymore end tables...already have 2 treadle tables +++++

I'm kind of in the same boat here. I don't have as many as you do but I live in a single wide trailer. Usually when I sell/give away a machine I offer them a cabinet too if I have one that fits the machine. I try to talk it up by saying the cabinet can be used as a table or a desk, saves having to tote the machine from closet to table, etc..sometimes it works and they take one.
I've also gone after free cabinets if they have something I want like a knee control still in it or those front clips for a 301 cradle.

I've seen the "Elephant" and there aint no place it can hide. Perhaps if you get em down to dog or cat size.

Miriam I'll give a home to any hinges you pull from them first. I'm always looking for sewing machine hinges.

Well advertised yard sale or you could open a museum like Steve(?) Can't think of too many museums where the exhibits are for sale. Maybe you could charge admission? Good Luck.

Call someone into the Junk Gypsies -shabby chic type of thing.
Maybe they will leave the iron ladies alone then!

Miriam, being from up Fighting Irish sort of way, I would love, love, love to see some pics of tables you are not emotionally attached to. Maybe then I could strongly hint one passes hands. Now, we know you are not pushing to sell your tables here. Your posting record validates this. Outside of this venue we could talk the realities of just how we would exchange a table from your home to mine; I am the one begging to buy which does not infer you were soliciting to sell. (Just had to clear that up!)
