Oh my, I am one of the Elna ladies of this forum, and this machine was my very first beginning to get into the Elna owners' club. I traded in a Morse (something like that that I had won in a contest) in Fairbanks, AK; got this whole little kit and caboodle for about $15 a month for whatever amount of time it took to pay off $300 or so, and still have it (only it now belongs to DD), but it is noisy (roars like previously mentioned). She doesn't notice it, but I do when I ask her to bring it over here for me to oil and service. I think I bought mine in 1959 or '60, my first brand new, selected by me, demonstrated for me, sewing machine. I loved it then, I love them all still--having bought new ones about every 10 years or so ever since. Just a fool about an Elna, I guess.

Cathienut, I do have the cams for my 651. I don't think I have a full set? but i have 5 and they are double sided. Mine was a single previous owner so I got everything she got with the machine. It came with the original table which is very nice I paid too much for it, but I bought it from her daughter (the mother had passed) and I knew she was having a hard time letting it go.

I have an Elna SU Air Electronic that I bought in the 80's? and all the cams work with the Supermatic.

Joann- Too bad the Elnas aren't made in Switzerland any more...such great quality in those old machines. I am trying to decide if I should add more cams or not. I doubt I will actually use them hardly at all but it's fun to know you have them! LOL so far the machine is quiet but who knows what will happen in the future
Mrs Sewnsew- maybe one day I will "get lucky" with finding the cams. I keep trolling ebay etc and maybe I will be surprised at a yard sale!
