hahaha, yep you got the right brother! the gears were not too bad for build up, so I cleaned a bit with toothbrush and wooden toothpick. Then used a singer lubricant that I bought new because the old stuff that came with it looked kinda yucky. I gave it a new needle. It sounds so good, it just purrs!
