Default My first featherweight!

I am so excited I can't sew!!!!! My daughter and son in law found a feather weight for me on a Facebook group. I had told them I wanted to get one that was my age and I am turning 70 in a few weeks. My DSL found one ( a 221-1) born Jan22,1948. It runs beautifully but needs a needle so I have to wait until tomorrow to sew with it.....don't think I'll sleep tonight!
I've downloaded the manual and will read the stickys .
What advice do you have for me?

Just have fun with her! I love sewing with my FW, although I do it infrequently. Love it for classes or traveling.

Do not turn hand wheel backward...keep it oiled/lubed after so many uses....otherwise, Enjoy sewing with it!!

My FW is on the living room table now, in use every day. When I need to "clean up", the FW goes on top of the piano (for decoration), and is a good conversation starter.
