The condition is very clean, but there is some wear. I think this machine was used and loved for many years I intend to add more!

I have one of those. I love it! I got it for my birthday and Christmas present! Great gift! Your machine looks like it's never been used! Mine is in good shape but not as good as yours. I love that I can sew stuff on it that my expensive Janome won't touch! Today it was a very thick line winter jacket similar to a "Carhart" brand. Found it at a yard sale for $5...had oil and grease stains so soaked it in Dawn Dish-washing liquid, then let it spin and rinse in washing machine. Line dried and almost every bit of oil and grease were gone, however one of the side seams had come apart about 8" long so I closed the seam and sewing it shut! Worked like a trouper!

I checked my machine and there it was. Thanks a bunch. I always relied on the sticker from the Singer sewing room and hoped it would never fall off. I did log it in the instruction manual but it has been many years and is still adhered.

    Coloradosky,
You have a wonderful machine with history. Glad you now have the serial number verified. I hope you enjoy and cherish your machine for many years to come!

Thanks Dayle. I have sewn many hours on this machine. The only thing that went wrong with it was the bobbin winder disengage wheel. For years I had to wind the bobbin with the needle in motion until I married my DH. One day I was praising the machine and said too bad I couldn't fix the wheel. He came over and unscrewed the outside tightening knob, I took it apart and cleaned it put it back together and has worked every since. Leave it to a man! The other thing was the bobbin winder tire disintegrated and had to be replaced. It has been the best.
