Hey Ya'll, I didn't realize that I had more posts in this thread! I hadn't received an e-mail about it. I guess I'll have to go subscribe to all of my threads so I'll know if anyone has posted in 'em. I guess that I'm slowly getting used to this new board. Slowly.
I really appreciate all of your comments! This is really a wonderful machine!!!!!! Still my favorite. I think that she'll sew thru anything. The only thing she has had trouble with is FMQ, but that is probably operator error! I wonder if I asked her to get up & dance if she would. My wish would be for every quilter to at least be able to sew on a 401A for a few hours.

I like to print them out and scribble on them you can make extra
401a repair manual - you have to scroll down 125 pages more or less to get to the 401

I was almost up in your neck of the woods this summer! We visited Palo Duro Canyon! That place boggles the mind! What gets me is that it is only a tiny fraction of the whole canyon! Can you imagine when the settlers would be going across the great plains & suddenly the world just dropped off below their feet? Do the Canyons reach up as far as Pampa?
