Default "New Scotch" sewing machine

I recently purchased the above treadle sewing machine in France.I am unable to find any reference to the name .I have searched many places on the net without success.Can anyone help please.

I have no idea but if you can post a picture others may be able to identify the maker.

clearly European. Most likely NOT Scottish, but could be British mfg. The needle plate and slide plate layout is going to be your best bet to find the maker. Search for other machines that have a similar layout, the research is the one of the big fun parts for me...
