We got Chrome, IE, and Firefox on this box now. Both my wife and myself hate the Chrome and IE. Love the Firefox.
We did have a Gmail account prior to the old box's second to last crash. Lost all the links to it. Can't even remember the passwords. They're probably around here somewhere.
Do have my old Yahoo email though. If it still works. Will check it.

I added this to my favorites for future problems.
Some people had the same problem with slowed down text input in the help center of the forums. This was the suggestion to fix it.

I am sorry to hear of your computer woes. Mine is on it's last leg, too. I say I am so "anti-techno," but I do rely heavily on my computer. We're very isolated; it's a life line during the winters, and a wealth of new knowledge and entertainment.
It seems our new/old house, aka "The Little House of Horrors on the Prairie" eats up all my "fun funds." Roofs, for main house and garage, new furnace, A/C, ductwork, heat exchange system, an unending 3-week living room refurbishment that is now in its 10th month...and life goes on...I just hope the computer limps on until next winter.
