Default Pics if White Rotary

Here are a couple of pics of the White Rotary I purchased yesterday. She is in the shop being checked over. Needs a new belt before we can see how she runs.

Looks good. Interesting. Most of the electric Whites I've seen have been friction drive.

You found a White Rotary with great decals. Usually they are all silvery and washed out. What a find. You will love it, except the hand wheel is moved backwards to the Singers. Remember to push instead of pull. Very nice.

Yeah, Davis' are like that too, turning the wheel over and back. Then I got a National and it's taking a bit of getting used to. Broke the thread several times the first day I tried it

Thanks for the tip on the wheel. My 1st vintage machine & I'm excited. Got an email from my friend(her husband is the 1 working on it) that I might have trouble getting it back because she loves it. Does anyone know if there is a manual for it & what needles it would take?

Rodney can you explain friction drive vs another kind. I don't think I've ever heard that term before.
ctrysass The White is a very pretty machine I hope you enjoy her. I have one and need some of those round electric plugs to re wire her.

Very pretty decals that look in very good condition. It must have been love at first sight.

Maniac, it was. It must have been calling me. Saw a Singer that was nice but didn't grab me. Went to an overflow shed & it was the only thing I saw, even though I couldn't get to it until I moved a few things. Is that normal?
