Default Possible IL get-to-gether

Later this spring (late March or early April) I'm making the trip to Joe Miller's place to pick up a treadle machine.

While I'm not volunteering Joe for this, since we're going to be meeting, I'm open to suggestions if more people around that area would like to plan a "meeting". I'm going to be bringing Joe a treadle cabinet or two, and will have plenty of room in the van to bring more - to see and share.

Is there a library near there that would allow a meeting? I've been thinking about a gathering in Indy, too. People seem to like to test out old vintage machines. I don't know of anything else in Indiana. Speak up if you are out there.

I would be so up for that. Many towns have community centers that are dieing to get used.

I retire this year and my last day is April 2. I would love to meet up with anyone and will drive down from Madison. You name the place and I can be there.

Our local library system has meeting rooms you can borrow for free as part of their service to the community. It can't hurt to ask at yours if you need a bigger space.

I'm thinking ours does, too and I'm thinking they might love a demo of vintage machines for a day

March would be scary.....never know what the weather is gonna do. For that matter April could suck too, lol! Guess I will wait and see what y'all plan and decide when the date gets closer.

Cogito - my plans will be weather sensitive too- I'm not driving that far in a snow or sleet storm. Though the farther one heads south, the better it should be!

I have to eventually make the trip to pick up my machine and drop off at least one treadle cabinet.
