Default pretty pround of the "old" treadle machine.

Used my 306w with zz ( just to overcast the raw edges..like a poor man's serger,) the rest is just a nice tight straight stitch...all on a treadle. They are still usefull. Suprised even myself with this one. http://www.quiltingboard.com/members...91-518012.html

I know you did it on purpose but all those loops in the basting stitches are hard to look at.

And just look at the stitch quality of those seams on slippery annoying costume satin! No ripples at all. A good sewist plus a good machine makes all the difference.

Quincunx, kind of you to say. I am obviously a rookie and we My Daughter and myself) both enjoyed this project and learned lot. I was just thrilled to be using one of the machines I rescued and restored. thought it might be a good reminder to all that a treadle machine is not just an oddity or a hobby it can be a real working machine and capable of some pretty involved tasks.
