I'm starting a thread where everyone can show off their beautiful creations made by using their vintage/antique sewing machines.
I got bitten by the vintage sewing machine bug last summer, which was about the same time I started quilting again after an extremely long hiatus from that hobby. So, here is one very simple quilt that I made using a Davis New Vertical Feed, a walking foot machine. Very nice.

I make all my quilts using my vintage machine, but there are too many photos to post.
BTW, nice job on your Blues/Whites quilt. |
I had hoped to use a treadle machine for some old fashioned quilting, but hubby couldn't get it working... so.. he bought me a NEW machine... I love it, but still would have liked to use a treadle some.
Am snowed under now with other projects to get started and finished before Christmas... |
Thank you for starting this thread.
A lot of my sewing is done on my 1975 Bernina Record 830. I will post some photos later. Guess I will have to crank on my handcranks and treadles to show sewing with those vintage machines. LOL. I guess that what I am saying is that your thread will work as an inspiration for me. Thanks. :-D |
Wow that is great!

Here is a Christmas table topper made with scrappy fabrics. The machine used was a Singer 201k in treadle.

Both quilts are beautiful.
