Hmmm the cabinet is a Singer Model 40 just like the one I have that my Singer 101 is in. The 101 was made in 1931. OK, if the friend dated the sewing machine as a 1919?, I bet it is an electrified machine.

That machine is a 66, made most likely no earlier than the 40's, and could be as late as the 60's! All that fluff he wrote only serves to make him look like a fool...

You know, if they did just a little bit of research before posting their machines. I'm sure QB would pop up in some search. It generally does when I'm googling just about anything quilt or machine related.

I don't think this is a singer stand or machine, but what it might be i'm not sure. what do y'all think?

ok is it just me or are the pictures of this leading me to believe that someone mounted a 1950s cabinet top to a treadle cabinet? Something strikes me as odd with how that machine is sitting in the cabinet. |
