Hi friends, does anyone have a Frister & Rossman? One followed me home when I bought a belt for one of my machines. She's gorgeous, red lily decals in great shape and she's a hand crank. Wood case is in good condition, with key! I know it's a German machine but that's about it. I've run into the usual road block looking for information. Thanks for any help.

Whoo Hoo! I don't have one of them yet, so I would be on it like butter on corn.

It's just in the next town from me so it wouldn't be much of a trip.

My daughter learned to sew on hers when she 9-10 yrs old. Still have it, tho it needs some attention to the cabinet. She still enjoys sewing on anything that will run.

Help! I am looking at a kenmore 117 812 for $25 with case. Looks to be in good shape. Should I get it? I am at the store now.

I have 2 or 3, including a Red Lily. They sew great; love the F & R machines.

You can post photos of your machine on this thread: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-130994-12.htm. I would love to see it.

Lisa (QuiltAddict) has one or two of them if I remember correctly, PM her and she might be able to help you with some information.

My newest FW has the centenial badge, but was dated Oct.26,1950. Did they start that early with the dating? It also has a spring on the thread spool and the 1940 FW doesn't. It it necessary for the thread to spool correctly? Just wondering.
