up and coming Toga? Kathie I haven't gotten around to posting tutorial up here on the QB, but if you look at my blog the tutorial is on there. Here is the list of items: Exchange Block Reversible Cover Materials: 2- exchange blocks 2- 6 ½ " x 3 ½ " block and 1- 6 ½ " x 4 ½ " block of muslin or solid fabric. 1- 3" x 23" strip and 1- 11" x 23" of different fabric from fabric used for smaller blocks. These pieces of fabrics make up side 1. 1- 20" x 23 " fabric of a different theme or look from side 1. I'm only allowing a ½ " of error. This will make up side 2. Batting 22 " x 25" Thread Buttons for decoration |

I don't see a handcrank with that machine. Why do you ask about the handcrank being replaced? Do you have the handcrank? Never mind. I went read your past post. I see that you are looking for a handcrank for the machine. Check at the upcoming TOGA; someone there may be of help. |
thanks Charlee, had never heard of one but makes sense...I love looking at these old machines..come in just about every day...have a good one, turning cool in Michigan

Billy, sorry to hear you are sick. sure hope that they find what is wrong. could it be something from when you had those storm problems this spring. maybe some virus or something from that? Sure hope you get better soon. You do an awesome job on the old machines.

If anyone on line, "in the know", I just got a call from my DB, he is at a garage sale looking at a Singer with SN J229956, ID site says it is a 27K from 1904 with Sphinx decals, 45000 alloted. She wants $55 for it. Everything there, as far as he can tell, along with a box of attachments, in a cabinet with 3 drawers + middle drawer. Some of the drawers are loose. What do you think? Is it worth it? She says an antique dealer offered her $500, but she also said it was made here and shipped to England to be personalized. Her Neighbor wants the irons to make a table out of. GEEEEEZZZEEEEE!!

Thanks guys, I told my DB to get it for me, couldn't stand the thought of it being made into a table. He knows nothing about the machines, but said it looked in great shape, and the bobbin case was there. It has the "bullet' bobbin case. Is a treadle that needs a belt. I will go see him later today and pick it up. Thanks. Oh, I should say I REALLY needed that machine. It makes like #35, and it has only been a year. DH is getting as bad as me, I passed on 3 this last weekend and he keeps telling me we should go back and get them. LOL
