Jennb.... I love that Domestic and all the goodies you got with her! Wrap an old tshirt around the arm and soak it in sewing machine oil....then walk away for a day or two....I'm anxious to see if the decals are there or not! :)

Joe, I have a dumb answer for ya! :D A 9W is a 9W, no matter what the sub-number is. ~wink~ I have no idea what the sub number is on this one, but it looks like my machine too...except I know mine is NOT a 9W-7, because it has the donut bobbin instead of the FW style bobbin.
~shrug~ Too much to learn...not enough time to learn it all. I wish I had a better answer for you! |

Nancy, Thanks again for all your work in piecing the squares together and quilting. Your choice of fabrics works well with all the blocks.
Glenn, Thanks for all your posts on refinishing cabinets...and showing off your drawers! :D So, happy that you love your quilt. Here is a photo of my block for those that only read this thread. I remember Charlee posting to Glenn a hug and kiss for his help once. So, my block has kissing fish. |

Laura, I've heard those Adler's are great machines - that one is really cute! You ought to bid on it!

You guys really pulled one over on me this time. Nancy's letter and the little notes from gals and Joe will be kept and passed along with the quilt when I am long gone, but my son is not getting this quilt for a very very long time. I just can't thank you guys enough.

Has anyone else had a hard time getting on the board the last couple of days? My computer at work keeps timing out, and tonight I noticed that when the board was loading, there were a couple of Ad programs that kept loading with it. Probably why I couldn't get on at work... Have they added new Ad programs? No fair!! I can't visit during the weekdays now!! (pout, pout!!)

Monica I was watching that 328 on an auction, but didn't go for it. Instead I got a National Reversew, and am waiting for it to come home! I just think they are so cool looking.
DH is still working on the MUT or as I call it, the Frankentreadle. He has the top on it and the generic hole cut in it, and now is figuring out how to cut out a separate "plate" for each machine to sit in. It's coming along!! |
Charlee, your Kohler is gorgeous!! You did a wonderful job on the cabinet. Really nice. You're getting to be an expert at this stuff!! :-)

~shrug~ Too much to learn...not enough time to learn it all. I wish I had a better answer for you! I understand. But perhaps in the near future I'll have an answer I can share with everyone. I have a 9W-7, when my wife goes to Ft Wayne next month she's going to bring back a Singer 9W in the treadle from her sister. Then I will be able to compare them and share what I find. Joe |
