http://shreveport.craigslist.org/atq/1720039746.html I wouldnt even think about paying that for it, the most I ever paid for one is $25 with a treadle. Billy |
Billy asked about the 101, if it was aluminum or not. It is heavy, and I didn't think it was, but I tried to see if a magnet would stick and nope, not a hint of magnetism. Not sure if that means it is aluminum or not.

ok..so here I go again...I have GOT to stay off this site. I wanted to take a break from my fabric frenzy weekend, so I stopped in to the local 'gift/collectible" store in town to kill an hour on my way to work. And there was a cute little desk/cabinet - 'hmmm....I wonder - that might be a nice table for my machine....and it is compact, in good condition - would keep my projects off the dining table...
Once we offloaded all the display items on top, I realized it was actually a sewing machine cabinet - with a sewing machine in it...I wasn't even interested in another machine until I opened it up and saw it was another NEW HOME!! I feel like the adoption agency for unwanted New Homes...take a look. Was only $40 and a mile from from home...has TYPE J stamped on the bottom... beautiful rust color my favorite part..it rolls out and then back in all sorts of goodies... cabinets in good shape... comes with a light, knee pedal.. |

Have you ever heard of a NECCHI machine? Local thrift store has one in a cabinet machine looks much better than the cabinet, has accessories, They're asking $75 for it. I didn't take the time to see if it runs, I wanted to check here before I "fell in love" with her.
Thanks, TERRYL |

Thanks, TERRYL It is a very expense and extremely nice machine to own. These are Italian machines and they are built with the precision of a Ferrari and were mainly found in the north eastern US. The reason being thats where most of the money was back in the day. IMO you can not go wrong with one!! Billy |
