Charlee, you need to tell us how you finished off that cabinet to look so beautiful. My FW cabinet top has some circles like your did before you cleaned it up. I would love to refinish it to look better. Let us in on your secret. The machine looks great as well. I'm sure you used Glenn's method to spiff it up.
JennB, That Admiral is so cute. It looks to be in really good shape. |

So...I was on my way back to that yard sale I went to yesterday, and I was going to make an offer on that Federation Treadle. I stopped at another big sale, and I spotted this sewing machine case. It was dirty and I knew just from the looks that it was likely from the 70s or so. It was a Nelco something or other. Anyway, not interested...moving along. I happen to ask the lady if that was the only sewing item she had and she said ....no I have this other one, but I haven't gotten it set out yet. She pulls out this little blue and white case and I got a little bit excited. She opens it up and guess what was inside...
Not so much as a scratch on her. All the attachments are inside, and aside from some dust, I doubt she's hardly ever been used. So I ask her how much she wants for it, trying my hardest not to give any signs as to my excitement, and she pulls up her phone, sees one listed on ebay as celery color/rare going for 100 bucks, and so I offered her 90. She came home with me. She's actually going to my daughter, because her room isnt big enough for a sewing cabinet to fit in with her other stuff, but she can pull this out and sit it on her desk and go to town. I didn't make it to the other sale. I figure if its meant to be they will call me. If not, I know where they live! |

Hello everyone, here are the pictures of the Edgemere, Sear Roebuck & Co. machine. Couldn't post yesterday our power kept going off everytime we turned on the computer. Storms in the area. This machine needs a lot of TLC but I think it will be pretty when cleaned.
