Cathy, yes it is the auto tension one Singer says it is 1903. I hope that tension thing works.
I have needles coming from ebay, but just needed one if someone had one to try it out at the get together.
Jon, sorry I thought everyone knew where Tumwater was.
Janie the serial number is on the back directly behind the Singer badge. K1149356
Rodney, thanks on the evapo rust I can get there, but as you said if they work the same I will use the Navy Jelly, only it is a paste and I can't put screws in it to soak.
It is a cute little machine. It is heavy for a cute little machine. I will bring it to the get together even if we can't gather a needle for it.

I have an empty treadle base that the top insert part was made to fit a newish singer and am wondering if I can redo that for this little 24. Does anyone know what it would take to make it work? I see on youtube someone has done that but I don't have a clue how to go about it.
