and the head is cleaned and back together, all threaded up awaiting a shuttle for the lower thread...
(you can see how the needlebar drive arm used to be silver in this shot...)

That bobbin winder is the coolest thing! It is looking so much better. I can't wait to hear when you get it stitching again. I always love those first stitches!

Awesome transformation! How many hours did you put into this project so far?

I don't keep track of time like that, in fact I completely lose track of time while doing this, which is the entire point of doing this... hehe

Thank you.

Exactly. I call it "falling down the rabbit hole".

I never heard of Glenns #1 formula, but it is now on my cleaning fluids list. Thanks for showing us the progress. I'll be watching for updates to this thread.

Ok, cant find product on internet. Is there a different name? how about a picture of the can? Where did you buy it?

Jane, Glenn's formula is something Glenn came up with - it's listed in one of his other cleaning threads somewhere on this forum. Don't recall exact proportions, but it's a combination of several easy to obtain ingredients, like linseed oil, mineral spirits, vinegar, denatured alcohol and dawn dishwasher soap (just a few drops of this). Not sure if that is exactly what it is - my recipe is out in the shed.

You won't find "Glenn's #1" in any store!
