Default Singer hand crank machine in virginia beach

I don't know if this is a good deal or not.
If I had the money I'd get it in half a heart beat.
But since I dont, I thought id let everyone else know.

I was just looking at that! A: More than I want to pay, and B: I'm not fond of the shuttle machines. I hope someone will give this old lady a good home!

Hello Startella, Even if you're not going to buy it, ring them up and ask them how they come up with the date 1896, and are they basing the price in part on its age. At that time a 28K would have the bobbin winder set at the base of the pillar, so I've looked at the photo. The serial number starts with a Y and is followed by a seven digit number starting with a 4. This means it was manufactured in 1926 or 1927. If it isn't 100 years old it isn't antique. You can have fun with these sellers, suggesting they might like to withdraw the advert, it's a misrepresentation on their part. Otherwise you can suggest they halve the price.

Thanks Muv!
I did email them so we'll see what they send back.
I tried to do it nicely so it didn't seem I was being rude, but it was fun lol

Wow...I sold one very similar to this with decals in better shape for $75. I hope they come through for you Star, they will wait a long time to get that price these days!
