How beautiful she is! I wish I could find one at all, let alone in that kind of condition! I don't blame you for keeping her!

I have 2 I can't hand crank - the crank won't fit on mine because it was never set up to hold a motor mount. Check to be sure it has a motor mount before you try to put on a hand crank.
I have a 319 that won't hand crank - the motor mount and the balance wheel are not in a straight line - they are off set.

I am drooling. A Red Eye is my ultimate dream & yours is in immaculate shape. I am green with envy.
    Enjoy her.

    d,

I suspect, though I'm not positive your comment was kind of maybe directed at my post. I like treadles ( have two Red Eyes and a 9W-7 - so far ) and have occasionally taken the belt off and "hand cranked" them.

To use a hand crank machine I would need three hands. Two to guide the fabric and work the controls of the machine, and one to crank it.

I can see using a hand crank on those machines that can be set up for one ... as a manual test method to verify you've fixed it right. After that put the motor or treadle belt back on.

There, hope I answered your questions.
