His machines are very nice, but he is aware of their worth - prices aren't excessive, but not bargains, either.

Hey folks,
I know we are not supposed to sell our machine on here, so I will not "sell them here", but I will list the electric machines I am looking to part ways with. (to make room for the older ones) PM me if interested, please
I have:
Necchi BC portable (SS machine prior to the ZZ machine)
Sewmor Blue portable (15 clone)
Hamilton Ross TSM (complete)
Kenmore "faceted" (not sure the model) in cabinet
Windsor B portable (cast iron base, foot shaped pedal)
Viking 1030 Portable (SS machine)
White FR portable.
All but the Necchi and the Kenmore are in my photo album called "tradable"

I have a question. I live in the Chicago suburbs. Someone told me that machines, especially hand cranks and treadles, in Texas and other southern states are being purchased and taken to Mexico. Has anyone else heard this?

I've heard they are being sent to African countries. That is the idea behind the TFSR site:

Here in central Illienoise I've not seen a single hand crank machine other than one in the collection of my LSMG. And it's not for sale.
And mine which I cobbled together from a derelict machine and a Chinese H/C.

I never see them here either. Glenn got the only one in town last year when he stopped in - he got it cheap, too - the antique store had never seen one.

I guess I should count myself lucky then as there aren't a lot of hand cranks found in IN, it seems. I found my 1892 Gritzner hand crank at a yard sale in Martinsville last summer. We had just seen the yard sale as we were driving by and I asked the guy if he had any old sewing machines. He said yes, brought it out from in the closet in the house and sold it to me.
I wish I had a basement. I haven't seen one of these. What company made this machine?
