The older machines are pretty heavy - not very portable. But they don't slide around much either. If they have a motor boss they can hand crank.

I believe we have had this discussion - you have to read all 4305 pages sorry. Maybe I'll start a post on it later.

The motor boss is where the motor screws onto the machine. Some machines do not have a motor boss. Some have it in another place. Some are off center from the hand wheel and can not accept a hand crank. Only the machines with a motor boss can accept a Singer compatible hand crank. I used a suicide knob on one with a spoked wheel and hand cranked it that way.

I am hoping the attachments will fit my treadle and the 651 I have as neither have any. They are both low shank I think.
