Wow Jenn, that is the one! This will end up Queen sized when I add borders! Cool! Now I know what it will look like, but of course I used really bright colors! I like the quilt pictured! I think I went a little too bright because I lose some of my stars, but my pin wheels do pop!

Miriam, that quilt top was made using pre-cut 2.5" x 42" strips! I have done several Tonga Treat and Bali Pop quilts so I just used the left over strips. We all pre-cut our 2.5" x 42" strips into several designated lengths before class. It took me most of one day to do all the cutting. We labeled all the different sized strips as we cut them - then just sat down and sewed according to our 'clues.'

Could you possibly post a pic of your two tone 301? I've seen black ones and mocha ones, but never a two tone one.

LOL that is exactly what my DH said - he needed sun glasses to look at it! He's used to that as most of my quilts are bright!

OMG!!!!OMG!!!!!!! Yes, so that is what that little button is on the head!!!!!!!! Geeze Louise! I can't believe this Davis Vertical Feed not only has a release like the pressure foot release to lighten up the pressure on the foot - it also has reverse! HeHeHeHeHeHeHeHeHeHe!

Joe pictures to follow of both the 301 and the Davis!

Do you think it would be ok to stitch in the ditch around the black border and leave the rest? Or would it bubble up when washed?
Trish love the blues and black! Just stipple all around in the white being careful not to go over a letter or any of the motif!

Notice you guys/gals that button above the tension assembly is a button to push for reverse - ON A VERTICAL FEED!!!!!!

Now here is the back of the machine - notice two levers like foot pressure levers, but one only releases the foot pressure a little bit! Also notice the label - Springfield, Illinois not Dayton?
That is not a stick on label. It is decaled on? Confuses me!

She is going to town with a brush and a paper towel and some q tips. I hear, "Grandma," long pause... "Grandma, this one has some real thick red lint in there and I can't get it out..." Oh dear. At least she didn't get it out.... Miss M did do a real nice job cleaning the lint out before she ran out the door. Miss L wanted to take the 401 test swatch home - what ever. The other day I found a huge sack of fabric from the Goodwill outlet. I've been cutting out some quilt blocks from the small stuff. Unfortunately I need something to jazz it up... I'll have to buy something to go with. I found enough for each of the girls to have 2 or 3 dresses. There is enough for 2 more small quilts if the colors will coordinate. Then there are scrappy pieces I'm saving for Miss G's Christmas. Oh and there was a piece of turquoise fabric with bright robots - Wilbur claimed that and tried to wear it. He tried so hard - he wrapped it around, put it on his head - put it between his legs - threw it over his shoulders - he was determined... Had me giggling. Walter didn't care much about anything.
Miriam, grandkids are so much fun aren't they? I love it when the kids are here, but I also like it when they go home!

Miriam, I'd be in big trouble if I saw what you have stashed away! Glenn must have pretty good will power when he comes to visit you! I'd love to see all your machines! Do you have any other Pfaffs? It would be fun to play with machines with a fellow addict!
