Beautiful machine jennb. Wish I could find one like that around here. Never see a nice one. 1 or 2 junkers.
I have this same machine already, but as a hand crank. I'm going to trade Steve the HC in exchange for the treadle cabinet and he'll have his machine as he wants it and I'll have mine as I want it!
Here are a couple of the Arrival shots of my new Elias Howe Model B.
I cannot get over how much this machine changed in just a few years...
Built in Bobbin winder... too cool!
Handwheel, neat release, fused currently....
Completely different undercarriage, mostly due to the Stitch length system changes
Speaking of which..
Shuttle, with "E Howe Jr" markings
Opened up.
Here is my youngest DD(19) cleaning her Bartlett Rotary treadle wheel after "dethreading" it
Shuttle in place and shows serial number

Finally got my grandmother's Singer Stylist (413) repaired and back in the cabinet. And here she is! I may name her Flora after my grandmother.

Now THAT looks like a rugged machine!
Thanks, Steve. I sure hope she turns out to be a work horse! She makes a pretty straight stitch, so I may use her for piecing occasionally.
