Default What's this long singer screw thingy

Just won a 222k on eBay and it came with this:

Anyone know what it is? Looks like some kind of clamp for the machine.
The machine wasn't that much of a bargain: 32VDC motor and FC (no transformer included), cracked paint, no accessories and no extension table. It'll have cost around $200 delivered and probably at least another $200 to find parts to make it complete and pretty.

Hi Mike,

I don't know what that is, but it looks nifty!

Re the motor; is it a 110 motor, and you are in Oz and want a 220? If that is the case, I bet you could do a trade; sometimes NA people get 220 FWs and are stumped as to what to do next. Maybe there could be a win win. You might consider joining the Featherweight yahoo group and seeing if you can do a motor trade?

Congrats on your little stitcher.

Looks like the spring thing that came with my Bunn coffee pot to clean out the tubes.

No idea, but congrats on winning the 222k! I hope you get it all sorted out.

No, it's a 32V DC motor, and I want a 240V one or a step down transformer. The latter are even more rare than the motors it seems (sigh). The removable table will be impossible to source so I'm feeling pretty stupid. Oh well, at least it was cheap.

I have seen the tables being sold separately...

There's a removable table in Kijiji here. If you want it, I will get it and ship it.

What about a clamping extension for a light?

Not sure, but maybe it's for the Singer Iron, it clamps on the back of the ironing board, and the hook end sticks up in the air, and you hook the cord through it so it keeps your ironing cord up out of your way.
