White made a Singer Clone?

Speaking of "special library table" I'm trying to decide if I can justify getting this one . . .

That's the one! Tough to justify spending that much with missing top and race covers but it is quite beautiful and unique. Always wondered how that set up worked out in actual use but I don't think I'll be heading to Minnesota anytime soon.

That's a beauty and the only one I've seen like it. But then I've only been doing this about a year and there's a lot I haven't seen. I didn't see a top anywhere in the pictures. Most likely it is long gone. Between that and a machine that would need another donor machine to make it work $300 is hard to justify. Maybe if they came down in price....

I though I would post a picture of a Singer 27 for comparison purposes but the computer cord for the camera seems to have taken a walk.
From what I've seen "Singer Like" is closer than "Singer Clone". There's some pretty significant differences between machines.
