I was finishing up a quilt today, and just before I put on the binding, I noticed my serger sitting on the floor (where it goes when I need ROOM!). I grabbed it and ran the quilt edges around in it ..... and it worked great!! No escaping edges when I put the binding on, and really smooth when sewing. I'm sure going to remember it when I do any more quilts - as far as I'm concerned, even though it's probably not "traditional", it saves me time and effort, and that makes it great.
