There used to be a shop in Scottsdale (north) but I just cannot seem to remember the name - check the phone book or look under yellow pages online. Anyway, you might like to try Quiltz -13825 N. 32nd Street, Phoenix - 602-482-4141. They are near my old neighborhood (weren't there until after I moved!!). A very nice shop and they have 20% off books all the time.
I also spent most of quilting dollars at The Quilted Apple on 24th Street north of Thomas (again check phonebook). Quilter's Ranch (south of Scottsdale) is also nice. I used to shop at Sally's in Mesa but Mulqueen's was not there when I lived in Phx. (left in 2003 but last visited the area in 2006). There are lots and lots of shops all over the Valley from one side to the other - would take you days to get to them all.
