That is the Pattern I was thinking of when I mentioned the square stack and whack. I think - - in order to get a complete block, you have to have as many layers of fabric as the pieces it takes to make the whole block. Each stack of layers equals all the pieces needed in the shape - - for example, six layers of fabric if it takes six shapes to create the whole form (hexagon) ... four pieces to create a square ... eight pieces to create the square made of HST, if I understand the beginning of this thread ...
