well the best part is the price! They were all cheap! The new Home I found out was made in 1952-1953. I think this is the original color. There's a page on needlebar that has one very similar to mine just older. Now I do have a kenmore that is newer....its only 12 years old that is sitting sadly neglected while these girls have all the fun. Dh got the New Home for doing some work for a guy. He knew I would love it. I love quilting and doing it on a machine similar to what my Grandmother or Great Grandmother would have used is just even more fun. The black machine actually was my Grandmother's but it was electric when she used it. Sadly age and sitting in a storage shed for years did lots of damage to the wiring. Dh may be able to fix it but its been over a year and he still hasn't had time so I'm not holding my breath. It sews wonderfully as a hand crank.
