I love the picture/example of a quilt made through a row robin that's on Page 2 of this swap. The sashing really sets off the rows.
Do you think that I could request that my rows NOT be sewn to each next row? Then when I got my rows back, I could put sashing between the rows myself.
OR--could I possibly send eleven 2-inch x 60 1/2 inch horizontal sashing strips out with my first row? After I make my first row, I would sew on the first sashing. Then I'd mail it to the next person along with 11 other sashing strips. That person would make the 2nd row, sew it onto my sashing, and then attach the next sashing, etc.
It's actually a little easier to sew a row of blocks onto a horizontal sashing than it is to align the seams of the 10 blocks with the seams of the first 10 blocks.
Is this asking too much? If so, then would it be okay to request that my rows not be attached to each other?
If it's decided that this is all too much trouble, then I'm perfectly fine with the rules as they stand. :-D I just thought I'd ask......
