"old lady fabric" seems to be the adjective of choice when describing any fabric with flowers on it. Never ever put any flowery fabric in a quilt for a young person unless you know for sure they love florals. My adult daughters and granddaughter like all the quilts I make but never ask for the quilts with floral prints in them. Seems any brownish pinks, pastel greens, or country blues are a big turn off in a quilt too.
