I had one of those "wonderful" top loading energy efficient pieces of crap that "weighed" the clothes and bounced them around to prevent wear. $1,000 for a washer.
Suffice it to say- I now own a nice new front loading high efficiency washer thanks to the warranty on the other and being pushy about making them come back 6 times to fix the other one.
Am happy with the front loader but the old one fit about 18 pairs of jeans at once. But, we are a smaller family now (who am I kidding they come home to do their wash).
front loaders use less water so that's why I chose it.
