I want to go on the quilter's cruise up the coast of Alaska.
Mostly any retreat is a short period of time away from your daily duties, to focus on a small group of issues. When the church counsel and pastor go on a retreat, it is a time of intense and focused work on issues of the church and decisions that need to be made.
I imagine a retreat for quilting is a time away from regular duties, to focus on sewing and quilting without having to stop and make lunch, fold laundry, shuttle children to actiities, fix the babies bottle, iron his shirt, clean the toilet and the puck or even answer the telephone. Agh, to sit, sew, sleep and eat. What a life.
