i've hurt my back at least twice by leaning over too low a surface while cutting.
try explaining to your boss that you're calling in sick due to a quilting injury. :lol:
i stumbled upon a solution that works for me. i bought an extra large wooden cutting board. now, i take that board to my ironing board, place my mat on it and hack away with no problems.
