My son and I were jumping on the trampoline last night and he landed on my right foot. I immediately felt pain, but it subsided after awhile. Today, the top of my foot is so swollen, I cannot put on shoes. I wore a pair of my husband's sandals that have a strap across the toes and one near the ankle that are adjustable so I could go to the store. I felt like crying from the limited pressure from the strap across the top of my foot. I cannot rotate my foot down without pain and any pressure on the top of the foot would make me pass out. There doesn't appear to be any bruising, just bad swelling, so I am thinking the damage is pretty deep.

My dh thinks I should go to the doctor's, but I am wondering if there is anything that can be done if there are broken bones inside the foot?

I am so glad it is summer and I can get away with being barefoot unless I go out.
