Six years ago, I had a car accident(not my fault) and when my left wrist hit the window I received three fractured bones. I had to keep ice on it for over a week before they could cast it. It was such a hot summer that I had to put ice on it when it was in the cast to keep it from swelling so much. Nobody told me I could ice it in the cast but it worked great and really helped with the pain. Good Luck to you. I hope you feel better soon.
