When you put your new blade in make sure you clean it and the cutter and then put the tinest speck of oil on the back of the blade that goes against the plastic and tighten the screw down as tight as possible. I have had this problem and even took blades back and complained then my LQS hubby explained and put mine back together with the same blade and it worked like a charm. I felt very foolish but I am still cutting with that blade and this is my third quilt. He says if the blade is angled ever so slightly it will do that.
