    that is interesting, can you take a photo of yourself using your cutter to show us the proper way

    It's the way you are holding your cutter. I don't know how to explain the right way without pictures. So my best suggestion is to go to your nearest LQS and let them show you.

    I'll try to get a picture, but in the meantime. Usually I find that the cutter is standing in front of the fabric to be cut. You should be slightly to the side so that your arm has a free motion. Kinds like when you take a swing in bowling only without the bending. lol

    I got one of these rulers - was really excited. It ruined the first 2 blades I tried to use it with :( Don't know why, and am scared to ruin more blades.

    It's possible the blades were too old, but they were working before I sharpened them, and afterward would not cut at all, totally dull.

    Any comments or suggestions?

    I have one of the blade sharpening rulers. It works fine for me. You have to hold the cutter straight, not tilted at all.
